Break Out Session 6 (11:30-12:20) Infinite Campus:  New Teacher Tools Barry Brohier

Campus- Infinite Campus Videos are on Youtube and will be on Teachertube soon
Assignments: Streamlined Workflow
Multiple standards/grading tasks for any assignment
One place to Create, Score, Copy
Grade Book still there, still works
No Lesson Planner
Will be using the calender more

Assignment Functionality
-Infinite Campus will show assignment date and due date for the parents
-Turned in feature, allow to show that the work is completed but not yet graded
-Comments on assignments are more user friendly
-State Dept of Ed decides when we get the update
-Will work on I-PAD
-Can put Class website on Campus through teacher preferences
-Student groups, students can be in multiple groups
-Can give letter grades and it will automatically calculate

Daily Planner
-Will become the place you will use to manage your school life
-Activity editor as part of the calendar
-Campus has created a script to take every kid in each section and create a group for each kid
 (System Admin) have to ask Campus for the script called "Student Groups Script"
-Can create IEP student groups

Break Out Session 2 (10:55-11:50) Formative Assessment for Mastery
Purpose of Model: Meaningful Practice, Instant Feedback Guides Instruction, Emphasis on Mastery.
Keys to Our Model: Guided Instruction, Student Differentiated Practice, Daily Quizzes- Guided future practice and quizzes, Quiz to Mastery, Test to Mastery.
Students have changed from asking "What did you get?" To, "How did you get that?"
Students must achieve 80% Mastery, retake the entire test.
Math was above my level but the content was useful. Interesting way of solving functions.
