Dare to Insprire: Be the Teacher You Always Admired

I decided to go a session not related to technology, I didn't want to get bogged down with too many tech ideas. This has been a great session.
-Young people need models, not teachers
-The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable.
-Its not cool, it's cruel.
-Help teach empathy.

-If children have a strong family their role-model is their older brother or sister, mom or dad. If they do not have a strong family it is a sports star,actor, etc.

Students don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. When asked about your favorite teacher, is it the subject/grade level that you remember or the character of the individual?
